This week, Radiohead lost a crew member during a horrible stage collapse in Toronto. Sadly, the incident has caused the band to postpone some of its upcoming shows. Katy Perry announced that she would be following in the steps of Madonna by launching her own record label. And Noel Gallagher‘s High Flying Birds debuted a music video. Catch up on this week’s news below.

  • Radiohead Postpones Shows: By now you’ve probably heard about the horrible incident that occurred right before the Radiohead show in Toronto this week. The band’s drum technician Scott Johnson died during the stage collapse and three other crew members were injured. Now, in the aftermath of said event, Radiohead is postponing seven upcoming European shows. The band has released a statement expressing their remorse for Johnson, but promise to “offer fans the very best show possible.”
  • Katy Perry Record Label: Katy Perry may be a super famous pop-star nowadays, but she went through a lot of rejection back when she was trying to land a record deal. Rolling Stone reports that her struggle has inspired her to start her own record label where she’ll treat others how she wants to be treated.
  • Pearl Jam In A Jam: According to Spinner, a man who worked as the chief financial officer for Pearl Jam‘s management company has been charged with 33 counts of theft. The man is being accused for using his position at the company to swindle the band out of $380,000 from 2006 to September 2010. Prosecutors say the man used the money to pay off his own debts and wine and dine his family.
  • “Everybody’s On The Run”: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds debuted a new music video for “Everybody’s On The Run,” featuring Mischa Barton. Gallagher plays a taxi driver and Barton does a lot of semi-nude running. It’s painfully slow, but sort of funny. Check it out:
