My last night here in Detroit wasn’t all that exciting … despite the fact that we *tried* to make it exciting … well, we talked about it at least. The plan was to see my parents, then go out to dinner, then see a movie. OK, not really exciting but more exciting than what actually happened. Instead, my night went like this — see my parents, grab take-out for dinner … eat ice cream in bed … fall asleep. Yep, that’ was pretty much it.
At least we ventured out of the house to get ice cream at Baskin-Robbins … but, yeah, that was the highlight. I managed to run 4.5 miles, tho, so that was productive of me (even tho I should’ve run 6). My parents are doing well … tho they are very bummed because the family pastor passed away on Friday. He was a very good, loving man and he will be missed. But, yeah, my parents are doing well so all good there. Sarah, Mark and I were really lazy last night because we got sucked into the vortex known as the Den of Slack. Once you are trapped … you are trapped. All plans, no matter how cool, are lost. Ah well, we had fun nonetheless.
This afternoon, I fly back to LA and tonight I see Lana Del Rey at the El Rey Theatre (no relation). I will catch y’all on the Wesside!! Happy Tuesday!!
