Don’t Eff With Gene Hackman’s Woman!

Gene Hackman reportedly slapped a homeless man that threatened him and his wife Betsy Arakawa on Tuesday.

The 82-year-old Oscar-winning actor was in downtown Sante Fe, New Mexico with his wife Betsy Arakawa in downtown Santa Fe, N.M. around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon when a homeless man approached them.

The transient, identified by 63-year-old Bruce Becker, approached the couple as they were leaving a restaurant and called Hackman’s wife a “c*nt”.

The elderly actor slapped Becker, who then called the police to report the incident.

Sgt. Andrea Dobyns said in a statement, “Our officers got a call from a homeless male who said he’s just been beat up by Gene Hackman. This male got up in his face, assaulted him.

“Mr. Hackman did slap the homeless male across the face. This homeless male actually assaulted him and his wife, put him in fear for his life and his wife’s life”.

Becker has a history of getting into trouble with the law, spending almost two years behind bars at the Santa Fe county jail.

The homeless man was previously charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, abandonment or abuse of a child in 2008, battery on a peace officer in 2009, and arson.

No arrests were made in the case and Dobyns said no charges were being filed.

Gene Hackman has landed two Oscar wins and three nominations for his role in the “French Connection” films as a tough guy detective.

He also starred as the evil genius Lex Luthor in the “Superman” movies.
